Buetea | Mountain Tea

Buetea

Established in 2019, Okriba embarked on its journey by revitalizing a 55-hectare tea plantation. The tea gardens are beautifully nestled 130 kilometers from the Black Sea coast in western Georgia, in the elevated terrains of the Imereti region. The synergy of mountain and sea air cultivates an ideal environment for growing high-quality tea.

The strategic location and unique climatic conditions, coupled with a blend of traditional and modern technologies, ensure the production of superior quality tea. The tea that thrives organically in the high-altitude tea gardens of Okriba is free of pesticides and herbicides. Throughout the harvest season, tea leaves are delicately handpicked, yielding a product that is rich in aroma and taste.

Okriba is proud to own a tea and fruit processing facility, meticulously constructed and equipped to align with rigorous food safety standards. The company presents its products in diverse packaging options, which include loose tea in pouches, traditional teabags, and pyramid-shaped bags made of environmentally friendly, biodegradable materials. These offerings are marketed under the brand name “Buetea”.
